REVIEW: All Roads Lead to You by Jennifer Probst

In All Roads Lead to You by Jennifer Probst, Harper Bishop has two goals. One is to rescue all the animals she can, and the second is to have her horse, Phoenix win the Triple Crown. In order to do that, however, she needs a professional trainer.

After being betrayed by his business partner, horse trainer Aidan O’Connor left Ireland to travel around the United States, hoping he could find that one horse he could train to be a winner to rub it in his ex-partner’s face. When he winds up at the inn that is owned by Harper’s family and he meets Phoenix, he knows the horse is the one he’s been looking for. But when Aidan is through with Phoenix, will he be able to move on or will Harper be enough to get him to stay?

I found this story to be interesting. I didn’t know anything about horse racing, so I learned a lot through this book. It was very educational for those who have no clue as to everything that goes into training the horses and how the races themselves actually work.

As for Aidan and Harper, I liked them as a couple. Both of them have pasts that have left them scarred and afraid to let people in. Trust doesn’t come easy to either one of them, and I enjoyed watching them grow as individuals and as a couple.

Harper has an interesting array of animals, including a terrorizing chicken named Hei Hei and a goat named Captain Hoof, who is only unafraid when wearing a chicken costume. They’re great entertainment and provide plenty of laughs.

All Roads Lead to You is about overcoming the past to find happiness. Readers are in for an enjoyable journey filled with challenges, humor, and love.

Happily single, Harper Bishop trusts in only one passion—her rescue farm and healing her thoroughbred, Phoenix. Her dream is to lead him to the Triple Crown. But how unreachable is it without experience or help? A handsome new guest at her family’s B&B has what it takes to make it come true. And with his irresistible brogue, warm smile, and soothing touch, he’s a major distraction.

After a bitter betrayal, horse trainer Aidan O’Connor has fled Ireland for a vacation in New York’s Hudson Valley. When he sees the horse with the fighting spirit, he’s inspired with a new goal: to train Phoenix to win. He’s also facing an unexpected new challenge: his feelings for Harper.

How can she dare to open her heart to a man who’ll be there only long enough to break it?
So Harper and Aidan agree: try to keep it professional, and focus only on Phoenix and the finish line. But along the way, they could also learn a few lessons in love, trust, and taking chances. And, as painful as it promises to be, saying goodbye.
