Another Time, Another Place by Jo Lovett: It really should have been the start of one of these super sweet meet cute stories for Liv and Ben, after all how much cuter can you get than getting trapped in a shed with a total stranger when you both go to investigate the distressed calls of a cat? Well it was all going to plan that is until Ben informs Liv that he actually has a girlfriend, this is just as well seeing as Liv is set to move to Paris the next day.

However it would seem that fate has other plans for Liv and Ben, when the two keep crossing paths over the course of the next eight years, its just to bad that each time that they run into each other one of them seems to have a partner. Will fate finally give them a break or are they for ever destined to be two passing ships at night?

I really enjoyed this book, there was such a nice mix of longing, hope and angst that Liv and Ben cultivated throughout their eight year journey. This was one of those books that you just wanted to shout and tell both characters ‘please communicate with each other, you’ll can make this work!’. Nevertheless the build up in their relationship only made me love this couple all the more, I really enjoyed getting to see them at different points in their lives and seeing their chemistry grow with them. I loved the fact that we got to read this story from both Ben and Liv’s perspectives, this really helped with making it so easy to connect with both main characters.

I liked both main characters, even though I wish that they had communicated with each other a bit more. One of the things that really worked for me in this book was the extra layer of mystery, Ben had a few secretes that he had been keeping from all of. I don’t want to give to much away on this but I will say that I enjoyed getting to uncover Ben’s secretes even though our poor girl Liv was confused for a good portion of the book.

Another Time, Another Place was a fast, easy read that has a great layer of mystery intertwined into a slow burn romance. This book is definitely worth checking out!

The best people in life are worth the wait… When Liv finds herself locked in a shed with handsome stranger Ben (after they try to rescue a cat together), the instant connection they make feels like fate had a hand in it. Has Liv finally found her perfect match? But everything about the timing means there’s no way they can be together. Not least because Ben has a girlfriend and Liv is moving from London to Paris the next day. Over the coming years their paths weave in and out of each other’s lives – together, but always fleetingly. If only they could stop missing each other, who knows what fate may have in store for them…
