Crossing the Line (Cross Creek #2) by Kimberly Kincaid: What I love most about the Cross Creek series is coming back to visit with old friends, making new ones and enjoying a HEA with a twist. Kimberly Kincade knocked it out of the park with this one! This is the story of Eli and Scarlett.

Eli Cross is the youngest of the Cross brothers. But he has always felt like the odd man out, the extra, the one that does not have a defined roll on the farm, oh yeah, and his passion…..writing! Top that off with that fact that he is hiding this fact from his family and you can see where tension comes when when his oldest brother Owen thinks he is a slacker, and his big mouth gets him into a bet that might sink the farm, that is until Scarlett Edwards-Stewart shows up, camera in hand, and oh yeah, Eli is in charge of the beauty for a month.

Scarlett Edwards-Stewart has never set down root, she belongs everywhere. She is a world famous photographer. But when her best friend is about too lose her online magazine unless she does something to boost ratings, Scarlett is the first one to jump in and offer to help by going to the Cross farm and getting all of the farm to table pictures and stories that her friend could ever need. What she did not count on was being welcomed into the Cross family and being drawn to the sexy cowboy who is in charge of babysitting her for the next month.

But was Scarlett and Eli spend more and more time together, they fall hard. As Eli opens up about his dreams, is fears, and the secrets that he is keeping from his family, Scarlett is there to encourage Eli and let him know that he is not a screw-up. That just because his passion is different than that of his father and brothers, it does not mean that he is not part of the family, that his dreams don’t mean anything. When the opportunity of a lifetime is dropped into Eli’s lap, he needs to make a decision whether to follow his dreams, or let his old fears stop him from reaching for the stars and staying with the woman who has captured his heart.

An amazing edition to the Cross Creek Series, and let me tell you, the bomb shell that is dropped in this book is enough to turn the entire Cross family on its ear. Nope, not gonna spoil it! But I would highly recommend this amazing series to anyone that loves hot cowboys, feisty women and super amazing HEA’s

Publication: Published August 8th 2017 | Montlake Romance | Cross Creek #2

Cocky farmer Eli Cross plays twice as hard as he works. When his latest stunt drums up a heap of negative PR for the family farm, he grudgingly agrees to play host to an ambitious New York City photographer. Her feature on Cross Creek could be just the ticket to show the country what the Cross brothers do best…which is more problem than solution for Eli.

Scarlett Edwards-Stewart has photographed everything from end zones to war zones. She’s confident she can ace this one little story to help her best friend’s failing magazine. At least, she would be if her super-sexy host wasn’t so tight lipped. But the more Scarlett works with Eli, the more she discovers that he’s not who he seems. Can his secret bring them closer together? Or will it be the very thing that tears them apart?
