Deadly-SetupDeadly Setup by Annslee Urban: “Deadly Set up” started out quickly with an attempt on Paige’s life in just the first few pages. Such a beginning was certainly attention getting. And it made me want to keep reading to be sure she was safe and unharmed. This was only the second time I have read a book by Ms. Urban, and I enjoy her writing immensely. She brings together a sense of the romantic as well as tremendous mystery on nearly every other page.

We meet Paige as she is returning to a small town in which she grew up, to clear her brother’s name before he stands trial for a murder Paige is convinced he did not commit- the murder of his ex wife. Unfortunately there are many in town, in the ex wife’s family, who do NOT want the truth uncovered. Paige is forced to work with the officer who initially arrested her brother, who happens to be Paige’s former boyfriend. So this aspect introduces romantic tension to the story.

Throughout numerous attempts on Paige’s life as she gets too close to information, Seth consistently rises to the occasion, though the circumstances are nail biting! I recommend “Deadly Setup” to readers who are seeking a few hours of escape into a wholesome suspense novel!
