Forbidden to the Desert Prince by Maisey Yates is possibly the last read for me for 2023 and it deserves 6 bright and shiny stars. Absolute gold!

“Run”! How does a story start any better than that? Maisey Yates means business in this epic story – fit for a movie! Not a single word wasted. Pure gold prose page after page. The drama and adventure of Cairo reappearing after 16 years to take Ariel to his brother, the Sheikh of Nazul is stunning. Literally couldn’t breathe.

So much excitement and drama fills Forbidden to the Desert Prince to the brim. Maisey Yates nails it. The capturing of the past when Ariel and Cairo were little and the friendship that grew between them until the horrific demise of Cairo’s family were beautiful. The billionaire businessman Cairo who had been secretly plotting to claim back his country and his brother was brilliant. Beautiful Arial who has had to live with the sins of her father reluctantly facing up to her future; the promised wife of the warlord and Sheikh of Nazul… but is it just so she can spend some time with her true love Cairo? The stunning landscape crafted in such a breath taking way. The sparks that are finally allowed to fly albeit betraying Cairo’s brother. And then just when you think you have the plot sussed and all will turn out right in the end, the author throws in another heart stopping twist.

The very, very best way to finish the year. An outstanding story. Not a word wasted. Movie like quality. 6 stars!

I’ve only read Maisey Yates’s cowboy books and I don’t usually read sheikh romance but this sounds spicy.
