Forget Me Not by Julie Soto: Ana loves weddings, well creating perfect weddings for other people that is, so much so that she has made it her livelihood. However the wedding planing business is a competitive one and if Ana has any hope of striking out as a stand out planner then she really needs to impress with her latest client. All Ana needs to do is ensure her new influencer client and her fiancee have the picture perfect special day while it all get filmed and she is set to be Sacramento’s most sought after wedding planner… there is one small catch though… the couple have already selected their florist, who also so happens to be Ana’s ex boyfriend. All Ana needs to do now is figure out a way to keep Elliot at arms length and still pull off the wedding of the year, shouldn’t be to hard right? Well it sure would be a lot easier if the two brides were not fixated on trying to set Elliot and Ana up at every turn… with not only their hearts on the line but also their livelihoods can these two pull of two happily ever afters?

Forget Me Not was the perfect mix of enemies to lovers, grump meets sunshine and a sweet second chance love story. This book was packed with passion, romance and some heartbreaking moments, all while still keeping things easy and cute. For the most part I really enjoyed reading Elliot and Ana’s story, though I do have to say that the first half of the book was a bit slow but once we get to the half way mark the pace picks up and things begin to get a lot more exciting.

Both main characters were really great. Ana was such a relatable leading female character, she was sweet, kind and loveable. I really liked getting to see her stand up and take charge of her life and the direction in which she wanted it to go. One of the things that I really liked about her was that she was not afraid to admit her faults and fears to Elliot. She was largely held back by the events of her past especially when it came to love and let someone in. As for our hero Elliot, well he was a big ole softie disguised as a grump. At first he came across as this abrupt and rough around the edges guy that really did not want anyone in his space but once he opened up gosh did he just melt my heart. He was truly such a great hero, I loved that he grew passionate about a business that he at first did not even want.

The connection between Ana and Elliot only really reaches its peak half way through the book but gosh once they do begin spending time together it was hard not to want more of them. I do have to say that I liked having the jump back in time moments so we could see how these two were and the reason for all their tension. They had a pretty good connection that kind of just got derailed the first time round, but once we learn about what had been holding Ana back, it all makes sense. The supporting characters in this book were great, I just loved Hazel and Jackie, these two were such a hoot. I loved that they could see the sparks between Elliot and Ana, and just could not help but want to push them together.

Forget Me Not was an emotionally charged read that had so much of passion and just the right amount of angst to keep it a page turner. If you are looking for a great sunshine meets grump, second chance love story then I would definitely recommend this book to you!

He loves me; he loves me not…

Ama Torres loves being a wedding planner. But with a mother who has been married more times than you can count on your fingers, Ama has decided that marriage is not the route for her. But weddings? Weddings are amazing. As a small business owner, she knows how to match her clients with the perfect vendor to give them the wedding of their dreams. Well, almost perfect…

Elliot hates being a florist, most of the time. When his father left him the flower shop, he considered it a burden, but he’s stuck with it. Just like how he’s stuck with the way he proposed to Ama, his main collaborator and girlfriend (or was she?) two years ago. But flowers have grown on him, just like Ama did. And flowers can’t run off and never speak to him again, like Ama did.

When Ama is hired to plan a celebrity wedding that will bring her business national exposure, there’s a catch: Elliot is already contracted to design the flowers. Things are not helped by the two brides, who see the obvious chemistry between Ama and Elliot and are determined to set them up, not knowing their complicated history. Add in a meddling ex-boss, and a reality TV film crew documenting every step of the wedding prep, and Ama and Elliot’s hearts are not only in jeopardy again, but this time, their livelihoods are too.
