Hollywood Heir by Ruth Cardello: Eric needs a break from his life. His family is dysfunctional, his career is tied to a superhero, and he’s apathetic about his life before and after rehab. Disguising himself is the first step to finding himself again and something he can actually be passionate about. He grew up privileged and has made more money than he’ll ever need, but he knows something is missing.

Sage is an only child and she’s turned away from her privileged upbringing to bring happiness and kindness to others. She’s often misunderstood and underestimated in her job as a plant psychologist. She lives for finding people who need help and finding a way to give back to them. She’s sweet, kind, giving, loyal, and trusts her instincts about people.

Sage has a gift for being able to spot the pain, hurt, and sadness in others. It’s part of how she noticed Eric at first. She’s inexplicably drawn to him, but Eric doesn’t know how to handle her. He’s gruff, resistant, angry, and doesn’t seem to know his own mind. Their beginning is rocky with plenty of ups and downs as he learns to trust her.

“You’re too trusting.”
“Even with you?”
He swore beneath his breath. “Even with me.”
Sage hiked her purse farther up her shoulder and met his angry gaze. “That’s a real shame, because I was starting to like you.”

Sage is definitely quirky and unlike anyone else Eric has known. He loves that she likes him for the man he is and not the famous actor who she can profit from knowing. He’s also drawn to her and her ability to make him see the world so differently. There’s plenty of chemistry and banter as these two bond over their dysfunctional families and their respective best friends who are honest to a fault.

“Yes, you do. Listen, I like you. I want to see you today. I’m 95 percent positive I won’t be an asshole today if you agree to give me one more chance.”
She laughed at that. “So there’s a 5 percent chance you might?”
Hooked her with humor. All he had to do was close the deal. “I’m a work in progress.”

Hollywood Heir is a hot rollercoaster ride that is funny and emotional. Ruth Cardello provided romance, angst, forgiveness, second chances, friendship, and family. Ms. Cardello created a dynamic and eclectic cast of characters with best friends Reggie and Bella leading the way. Hollywood Heir can be read as a standalone in the Westerly Billionaire series. Fans of Jasmine Guillory and Teri Wilson will enjoy Hollywood Heir.

A billionaire silver-screen hero finds a real-life heroine in this sizzling romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Ruth Cardello.

Sage Revere follows her instincts, which have led to an oddball career as a plant psychologist. As a side project, she also helps strangers find happiness. Sage has a gift for knowing who needs her help, and the brooding hunk of a loner she meets in a coffee shop certainly fits the bill. She can feel it.

On-screen, Eric Westerly is the hottest superhero there is. Offscreen, he’s out of rehab; incognito in London; and reevaluating his life, his career, and his broken family ties. All he wants is to be alone. Then along comes some daft plant whisperer who gets under his skin. She’s also sweet, sexy, and irresistible. But what’ll happen when she finds out who he is—that underneath the gray spandex, he’s just a regular guy with a Batcave?

But Eric isn’t the only one with a few secrets. And when the masks come off, Sage and Eric are going to have to trust each other if they want a Hollywood happy ending.
