In the Weeds by B.K. Borison: After spending two incredible nights together with the beautiful Evelyn while in Maine, small town farmer Beckett can’t seem to get her out of his mind no matter how hard he tries. Now Beckett is no stranger to the whole no strings attached arrangement and for all these years it has been working just fine for him, but there is just something about his time with Evelyn that was different, so when she suddenly turns up at his farm Beckett is a bit confused more so once he learns that Evelyn is actually a super famous social media influencer. Evelyn has been living her best life, really as a famous influencer she has nothing to complain about, but recently Evelyn can’t help but feel a bit lost and disconnected from her work. Which is how she finds herself back in the small town of Inglewild, heading for the cute Lovelight Farms. Maybe being back in the last place that she truly felt happy will help her find her spark again… or maybe its just that Beckett is there… could this be fates way of bring back together two halves of a perfect whole?
“But that’s the thing about happiness, I guess. You can show whatever you want to the world and not feel a lick of it inside yourself.”
Im such a sucker for a cute small town romance and throw in the fact that this was a second chance romance and I was totally sold! I just loved being back on Lovelight Farm, Beckett and Evie were just the cutest couple that I could not get enough of their sweet yet steamy second chance love story. In The Weeds can be read as a standalone book but I would recommend reading the first book in the series just to get a slightly better insight into the main characters.
I just adored Beckett, this guy was just a warm fuzzy sweetheart. I liked that he was more on the reserved side, preferring to be on his farm working or just being with the animals. Also talk about total heart melting swoon when we get Beckett and the kittens! I really enjoyed getting to know more about Beckett and why he disliked big crowds and really why he is such an introvert. As for our social butterfly Evie, well she was a ball of sunshine and I just loved her. I really liked getting to see a bit of her friendship with Josie and how these two lean on each other but most of all I loved that Evie was the type of person that always wanted to lift up the people around her.
“Maybe this is what happy is supposed to be. A person, a place. A single moment in time.”
The chemistry between Beckett and Evie was just perfection, they had such a great mix of angsty attraction and longing for each other combined with knowing just how magical they can be when they are together. I also really liked the fact that they really were total opposites of each other, Beckett was a total introvert happy to be on his farm with his animals, where as Evie was the life of the party, ready to live it up and party until the early morning, however when they were together they just seem to work. Though I will say the only thing that I did not like about this book was the uanessacry conflict, the third act break up was unneeded and I would a lot of their issues could have been resolved with better communication.
Overall In The Weeds is a definite must read, this steamy cute second chance love story is a great mix of passion, laughs, drama and love.

Evelyn St. James isn’t the kind of woman you forget.
Beckett Porter certainly hasn’t. One incredible weekend in Maine, and he’s officially a man distracted. He’s not unfamiliar with hot and heavy flings. He knows how it goes. But Evie wove some sort of magic over him during their tumble in the sheets. He can’t stop thinking about her laugh. Her hand pressed flat against his chest. Her smiling mouth at his neck.
Also, her eyes. And her legs.
So when she suddenly appears on his farm as part of a social media contest, he is … confused. He had no idea that the sweet and sexy woman he met at a bar is actually a global phenomenon: social media influencer Evelyn St. James. When she disappears again, Beckett resolves to finally forget her and move on.
But Evelyn St. James has a problem.
Feeling disconnected from her work and increasingly unhappy, she’s trying to find her way back to something real. She returns to the last place she was happy, Lovelight Farms and the tiny town of Inglewild.
It has absolutely nothing to do with the hot farmer she spent two incredible nights with.
Nothing at all.
