Let It Snow by Nancy Thayer: Thinking about Christmas yet? This book is sure to get you in the mood and get your Christmas spirit soaring!
Christina Antonioni loves her toy store located in one of the sheds on the wharf in Nantucket. Sure it’s very rustic, cold in the winter and not real close to the restroom but, yes, she still loves it. It’s fun having lunch every day with her friends who run stores in the other three sheds on the wharf. They stick together. Especially when the Super-Scrooge new owner of the sheds sends notice that he intends to raise their rent 10% in the new year. It’s Christmastime. What could be more scroogier than that? Even after Christina befriends nine-year-old Wink and Christina learns she is Scrooge’s granddaughter she won’t let him change her affection for Wink. Not her affection for Wink’s uncle, Andy Bittlesman either. Their attraction can’t be denied. Will they be able to mesh their different worlds and find happiness? What will it take to melt the heart of Scroogey Oscar Bittlesman?
Let It Snow by Nancy Thayer is a charming Christmas tale that lovingly displays the true meaning of Christmas. The community comes together when a neighbor needs help. The sights and symbols of Christmas are abundant and there’s lots of Christmas activities to enjoy.
This is a well-written escape to a very enjoyable Happily Ever After. I really liked the feeling of the Christmas spirit evident throughout the story. The characters are very realistic and I’d like to have them as friends. Nine-year-old Wink is a very sweet little girl and her character added greatly to my enjoyment of the story. This is a fabulous Christmas read!

A Nantucket shopkeeper discovers that Christmas is the perfect occasion to make unexpected friendships . . . to warm the coldest of hearts–and maybe even find love.
Christina Antonioni is preparing for the holidays at her Nantucket toy shop, unpacking last-minute shipments and decorating for her loyal Christmas shoppers. But when her Scrooge of a landlord, Oscar Bittlesman, raises her rent, it seems nearly impossible for Christina to continue business on the wharf.
Even so, Christina hopes there is a warm heart underneath Oscar’s steely exterior. When she bonds with Wink, his sweet, young granddaughter who frequents the shop, it becomes clear that perhaps he isn’t so cold after all. And with the help of Wink’s uncle, who happens to be a charming and very handsome bachelor, this may be the best Christmas any of them could have ever imagined. Nancy Thayer’s enchanting Nantucket setting provides the perfect backdrop for this holiday love story.
