Love Me Do by Lindsey Kelk: Phoebe is done with love but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want other people to find love, which is exactly how she finds herself playing matchmaker while visiting her sister on holiday in LA for the next two weeks. You see her sister’s trainer Belle has a major crush on Ren the guy next door, and who better than Phoebe to help hook them up. The only problem with playing ghost writer and matchmaker for her new bestie Belle is that Phoebe winds up falling in love with Ren herself!

Talk about an awkward turn of events… The question now is; what is a girl to do when she was supposed to be helping someone else find their happily ever after but she winds up unwittingly falling in love in the process?

Love Me Do was absolutely perfection, I loved every single moment of this book! This was the perfect combination of quirky cute romcom with an amazing band of support characters. This book not only gave us a cute holiday romance but it had some very Holiday movie vibes. this was a feel-good read down to its core and I loved every single moment that we got to follow Phoebe navigate this strangely cute love triangle she got herself into.

The characters in this book were incredible, it was so easy to get invested in each one of them. Phoebe was a total sweetheart. I just adored her character, not only was she super loveable but I loved how genuine and relatable she came across. She has fears and anxieties just like all of us she still put on a brave face and carried on, all while trying to bring joy to the lives of those around her. I really enjoyed getting to see her relationship with her sister grow and them working through their speedbumps. These two really had some great bonding moments as the book progressed. As for our hero Ren, he was everything you could want in a hot neighbor. I just loved his character and getting to see him falling for Phoebe was just perfection. I just loved getting to see his relationship with Phoebe grow as they bonded over strange things and cute conversatios. These two really mad a cute couple. Though I will say their relationship was pretty slow burn and very low on the steam scale.

I have to take a moment to mention Myrna, this lady was all old Hollywood glam and I loved element of charm. She was so full of sass that I could not get enough of her character. I loved getting to see her interact with Phoebe and the extra layer of sparkle that she added to the novel. Aside from being a cute easy read Love Me Do tackles a few heavy topics, I’m not going to expand on them to much because I think it would be best experienced by reading the events as they unfold directly, but what I will say is that there is a great balance between the sweet cute moments and the more serious ones. Another thing that I really enjoyed about this book was the fact that all the female characters supported each other. I loved that even though it starts out with Bell wanting to gain Ren’s affections, she doesn’t get all aggressive and upset with Phoebe when she winds up developing feelings for Ren in the process.

Love Me Do is a total must read! This book was a great mix of old school Hollywood glam, cute easy to love characters and a story that will have you giggling more than a few times.
