More Precious Than a Crown (Alpha Heroes Meet Their Match #2) by Carol Marinelli is a well written second chance romance. Desert prince Zahid never forgot the scorching kiss he shared with his friend’s younger sister Trinity Foster. He walked away PTACMbut he never forgot her or the fire blazing in her eyes.

A chance encounter results in one earth-shattering night that brings more than just passion. As painful truths of the past are revealed, Zahid realizes that Trinity needs his protection. His only option is to bring her back to Ishla, and though she’s strictly forbidden, walking away from her again is impossible!

This story is the second part of Alpha Heroes Meet Their Match by Carol Marinelli and can be read as a standalone.

The premise of the story is pretty good and I enjoyed the first few chapters. I am not a fan of alpha heroes and therefore I was a little skeptical of Zahid but surprisingly he was quite likable and fortunately not like what I imagined. I liked how he supported Trinity and did not behave in a typical alpha way. Trinity was a mass of contradictions and although she was not my kind of heroine, she was pretty much bearable. She is a rebel most of the times but she lacks the spark and is most of the time I just felt sorry for her. Her family is totally dysfunctional and totally irritating most of the times. I would have liked the book even more if they were not there. Even the HEA did not make me completely happy because there a niggling doubt in my mind that the Fosters were totally capable of causing trouble even after the couple married happily after ever. The epilogue completes the romance and is a nice addition.

Overall, More Precious Than a Crown by Carol Marinelli is a well written romance which I felt was an enjoyable one time read.
