Mr. & Mrs. Witch by Gwenda Bond: For centuries witches and witch hunters have been at each others throats, so to have two people from these posing fractions coming together to be joined in holy matrimony is almost ludicrous…but for Savanna Wilde and Griffin Carter this all just started out as the beginning of what they both thought would be their happily ever after. You see Savvy is actually a really powerful witch that has been keeping her true magicy identity under wraps while working for CRONE an undercover magic organisation.

Where as Griffin is a very talented secret agent that works for an organisation that targets witches. So when the opposing camps get wind of these two and their nuptials all hell breaks loose. With assassins, hunters and a whole lots of people out to get their heads, Savvy and Griffin have one of two choices; either turn around and kill their love or team up to try and stay alive…

Mr and Mrs Witch was just perfect, this book had the perfect magicy play on Mr and Mrs Smith and I loved it to bits. There was such a nice balance between action packed drama, steamy romance, totally loveable characters and so much of entertainment while reading this book. Even though this was essentially a reimagined take on the Mr and Mrs Smith movie Bond kept thing entertaining, fresh and at a nice quick pace that allowed me to get fully invested in Savvy and Griffin and their story in its own right.

I really liked both Savvy and Griffin, they were both such easy to like characters and their passion for their jobs only made me like them all the more. I loved their chemistry and that they just clicked. They trusted each other so much so that even while fighting they never doubted each others love. One of the things that I liked about this book was that it moved at a nice brisk pace, even after finding out that they had being hiding things from each other, these two made amends and moved on from this pretty fast.

I would have liked to have had a bit more background and development between both Savvy and Griffin and their respective organisations, it felt almost a bit rushed here. Nevertheless I did like the supporting characters, there is some nice room for future books.

Mr and Mrs Witch is a fabulous magicy play on the enemies to lovers trope, a bit of slow burn romance and some really interesting magicy moments. I would definitely recommend this book to all witchy magic fans.

Savannah Wilde is a witch, a very powerful one—an identity that only her fellow witches know. Following a whirlwind romance that surprised herself and her family, Savvy is all set to marry the love of her life. But she isn’t the only one with a secret that needs to be kept, even from her soon-to-be husband.

Griffin Carter is a top agent for a clandestine organization that, well, used to primarily hunt witches, but now mainly tries to shut down supernatural threats their own way. He can’t wait to lay his eyes on the woman he’s about to spend the rest of his life with.

As Savvy walks down the aisle to Griffin, the wedding quickly goes from blessed day to shit show when their true identities are revealed. To say there’s bad blood between their factions is putting it mildly. Savvy and Griffin are tasked to take the other out, but when they discover a secret that could take down both of their agencies, they realize the only way to survive is to team up. With assassins hot on their trail, will Savvy and Griffin make it out alive to try again at ‘I do’?
