Noel, Alabama by Susan Sands: Bailey Boone left her hometown of Ministry, Alabama right after she graduated from high school. She knew that the small town couldn’t fulfill her dreams. She moved to Los Angeles and worked hard to advance her career. When the film location for the Christmas movie she is involved with is blown, she needs to come up with a new location quickly. Bailey knows her hometown would be just right since it celebrates Christmas in a huge way. She just has to set up the logistics.
Normally, Bailey would work with the mayor. The mayor is out of town, so she is thrown together with her high school love. Seth McKay is now sheriff and more handsome than ever.
Seth has dated over the twelve years since Bailey left town, but he has never stopped loving her. Can he win a second chance if he is super helpful getting everything ready for the film shoot?
Bailey has been driven and ambitious in her career and didn’t visit home as often as she wished. The author reveals how Bailey’s childhood has shaped her and underneath it all she has a tender heart. Seth is strong and brave, but has his own soft side that makes him all the more charming.
I love small town stories as well as second chance ones and Susan Sands has mixed these just
in this novel. The setting is a character in its own way with the emphasis on special Christmas events. The secondary characters are well developed and add extra charm. I especially loved the dog, Groucho, with his funny eyebrows.
If you are looking for an uplifting Christmas story with sweet romance, then NOEL, ALABAMA will be the perfect pick for you.
