Only You by Addison Fox: Fender has made a great life for himself after he was adopted by Mama Lou. He’s a devoted son and brother to his two best friends after a rough childhood without a mom and a dad who abused him. He’s now the proud owner and mechanic of an auto repair shop. He doesn’t believe in love or commitment for him, despite his brothers finding significant others.

Harlow grew up with wealth and privilege, despite the ongoing problems in her parents’ marriage growing up. She’s confident, sassy, and owns an art gallery. She has acquaintances rather than friends, who all have the same background as she does. The problem is that she’s getting tired of the parties, galas, gossip, and superficial relationships. It doesn’t help that her mom is increasingly difficult to deal with.

Fender can’t believe Harlow when she shows up at a campaign event for his mom. They may be from opposite sides of the tracks, but he can’t stop thinking about the fiery gallery owner. He’s drawn to her, but their backgrounds in addition to how their parents lives intersected in the past make any potential relationship between them a non-starter.

“Still clueless.” She shook her head and managed to land a swift, surprisingly effective smack against the side of his head. “You telling me I’m a bad date?”
“No.”
“Then, yeah, today was a success. It might be an even bigger success if you asked me to dinner this week.”

Despite the roadblocks, they have a chemistry and connection that can’t be ignored. When they can shut out the world around them, they have a great time and can delve into serious topics but also banter and just have fun. She definitely challenges him. They quickly grow closer than expected, which means they have to deal with the past and ties that have nothing to do with them.

“Then what do you want?”
“You.” He scrubbed that hand over his hair again, tugging at the ends as he tried to explain what he meant. “I’m glad you’re here. I wanted you here. I do want you here. I know I made a mess of it, but I want you here.”

Only You is about family and overcoming the past. Addison Fox created an interesting opposites attract story with good banter. Ms. Fox provided an interesting and entertaining cast of characters. Only You can be read as a standalone in The Brooklyn Brotherhood series. Fans of Kelly Elliott and Kelly Jamieson will enjoy Only You.

Meet the Brooklyn Brotherhood: three brothers who escaped rough childhoods in Park Heights, Brooklyn who grew into fiercely loyal, sexy men – and who find love when they’re least expecting it.

Fender Blackstone has kept the world at arm’s length, with the exception of his adoptive brothers and Mama Lou, the woman who saved him. Fender is willing to do everything he can to support Lou, but he finds himself drawn to Harlow Reynolds: the daughter of the woman who could destroy everything Lou has worked for.

Even without the emotional turmoil between their families, why would a woman from the highest echelons of Manhattan society ever look twice at a kid from Brooklyn? As forbidden sparks flare between them, Fender and Harlow realize there’s something real forming between them. When Fender’s past resurfaces and threatens the life he’s built, can his love for Harlow survive the aftermath?

Addison Fox’s Only You is an emotional story about love, and what it truly means to be a family.
