Penthouse Suite by Sandra Chastain is a very fun and sexy read.

After her mother’s long illness Kate Weston has no wish of going the whole way with anything. She is an expert in everything to do with manual labor, but she didn’t want to finish any of her learning courses. Now after he mother’s death she just wants to travel while traveling and doing odd jobs here and there.

PSMax Sorenson is known as a very successful but businessman. But that does not mean that he is not very serious and very private about anything personal. He is used to just giving orders and his employees obeying him. So when the plumber, whom he does not know or hire, arrives to fix the leak in his shower he does is surprised that she is giving him orders and taking charge.

When Kate’s car breaks down and she finds herself in need of money to fix it Kate knows that she must find a short-term job. Lucky for her, the lady in the wheelchair she saved from falling into the pool has hired her to replace the regular plumber who is in the hospital for the next two weeks. She knows what needs to be done, but when she shows up to the penthouse to fix a leaking shower she finds herself with a sexy man just out of the shower who has not even glanced at her.

“You want to stay here, in the employees’ quarters? Wouldn’t you be a little out of place?”
“If you’re here, it will be the Taj Mahal.”

While in there she is distracted by his sexy body and the show she is getting through the mirrors as he is drying his hair. But when he starts to remove the towel covering his waist things will get a little complicated.

“So, I’ll break another pipe. You can rewire the refrigerator. But I’m not letting you go.”
“Well, I’m scheduled for a fifteen-minute coffee break. Do you have any coffee, Max?”
“Coffee? I’m dying here from wanting to kiss you, and you want coffee?”

The attraction and chemistry between Max and Kate is immediate and instant. Neither one of them likes to mix business with pleasure, but Kate’s temporary stay will change their mind. What seems like a perfect short affair turns into something special neither wants to acknowledge.

Kate and Max will have to learn to trust and see that fighting for love is completely worth it in the end.

Sporting only a towel and a startled grimace, hotel owner Max Sorenson isn’t sure what to make of the cheerful, freckle-faced woman who somehow manages to make plumbers coveralls look so unbelievably sexy. Even with a wrench in her hand, it takes him a while to understand that she’s the hotel’s new handyman. Mostly because he can’t take his eyes off those perfect, kissable lips.

Kate Weston came prepared to fix a leak, not start a fire, but Max does funny things to her body. A woman devoted to carefree adventure, she believes in living—and loving—without strings. Max has enough reasons not to get close, his private demons see to that. But what starts as spontaneous combustion quickly begins to feel like much more. Desire proves opposites attract. But will love find a way to keep them together?
