Revealed to Him by Jen Frederick: Agoraphobic Natalie has been trapped in her apartment for three years ever since her world turned on her. Having experienced a serious setback in her desire to fight back against her fear and walk outside, her cousin Oliver hires the best in the security business, Jake Tanner, to make her safe from this new threat.
Jake never thought he would fall so hard and so fast, especially for a girl he couldn’t even see, her fear so strong she couldn’t open the door for him. But through their calls and texts they become closer then he, or she, has ever been with anyone. And Jake knows he will do whatever he can to protect Natalie and help her fight for her life once again.
“I’m scared of many things,” I whisper into the phone. “But not of you.”
“Good. I’ll never give you a reason to be afraid of me. I understand where you are coming from, Natalie. If your only contact with me is over the phone for a while, we’ll get creative.” His throaty words thrill me. “I suspect writers are really good at being inventive.”
But when things take a turn for the worst and it looks like Jake might be doing more harm than good, can Natalie really stay with him when the one thing she wants appears to conflict with the one thing she needs?
I absolutely loved Revealed to Him. It’s sweet and sexy, and they are the cutest couple. And because it was a bit of a build up before they actually met face to face, it made it all the better with the building tension. And once that tension blew, it blew so well.
But, of course, their budding love isn’t perfect. She’s agoraphobic, a bit of a hard circumstance in any situation, but especially in such high tensions as these. The villain of the story, too, was a little easy to spot and not enough of a surprise at the end. I would have preferred something a bit cleverer, but otherwise, still an interesting conflict to me.
Frederick also does get a bit unbelievable near the end of the story and while it does bother me, the love and passion between Natalie and Jake more than makes up for it. How they deal with one another’s issues, her agoraphobia and his prosthesis from his time in the army, truly creates a close relationship, if sappy in the sweetest way at times.
It is the third in a series, but there’s only passing mention to the previous stories so no worry over confusion. I highly recommend Revealed to Him for any romance reader, especially because of its unique twist. I even just bought the first in the series if that says how much I enjoyed Frederick’s novel!

Handsome and tough Jake Tanner, a veteran and the owner of a successful security firm, never lets his past hold him back. Despite his prosthetic hand and foot, women swoon over him—and with him between the sheets. Yet Jake feels bored and restless…until he’s hired to protect a beautiful writer whose life is in terrible danger.
Self-imprisoned by the fear of the anonymous stalkers who threaten her life, video-game writer Natalie Beck now only dreams of the world outside her pink-bedecked apartment. Trusting people again is off-limits. But the more time Jake spends with her, the more his professional commitment evolves from simple duty to scorching desire. While deeply sensual sparks ignite between the two, the danger outside circles closer. Will Jake’s intense devotion be enough to save Natalie? Or will she turn away from the one man willing to do anything to save her?
