REVIEW: Since I Saw You by Beth Kery

In Since I Saw You by Beth Kery, Kam is a brilliant man who keeps himself very isolated from society. A ground breaking technological invention Kam has made is generating a lot of interest and his brother Ian convinces him to come to Chicago to pursue businesses interested in his new technology. Kam is not terribly interested in Chicago or the businesses hoping to profit from his invention, but when he gets there and meets Lin, he finds his adventure into society might not be since-i-saw-youtoo bad after all.

Lin is one of the executives in Ian’s company, and it is her he sends to help Kam ease into Chicago society and business for the time he will be there. As soon as Lin sees Kam, she is taken aback. She’s not entirely sure if it’s because he reminds her of who she can’t have, or if it’s the raw, oozing sex appeal emanating from him. Lin usually keeps herself tightly controlled and closed off, but with Kam, suddenly her inhibitions are flying out the window. An unexpected night of passion with Kam is the start of the slow unraveling of Lin. Kam and Lin connect in all ways, including very erotically in and out of the bedroom! For both of them, it is no longer business, if it ever was. As their relationship strengthens, Lin is at times confused and unsure, but Kam knows what he wants.

As business in Chicago wraps up, Kam challenges Lin on all levels. But is he asking for more than she can give? Or is she finally ready to take the risk?

Beth gives us a very well written story in Since I Saw You. Since I Saw You is a very erotic book, but at the same time it is about a relationship developing, the romance and the caring. Beth manages to blend it all seamlessly together in Kam and Lin’s story. Kam and Lin are great characters who complement each other very well – Kam feels closed in by the walls of his hotel, but Lin is the light for him. Kam is incredibly intense and breath taking. With Beth’s descriptive writing I can envision him perfectly! And oh, la, la, I loved his French!

It was really fun to watch Lin lose herself to Kam, and much to her surprise enjoy it. The growth of Kam and Lin’s characters was strong and it was easy to feel involved in their lives. They have both had issues in childhood that have helped shape who they are today. I really liked how Beth gave us just enough family background without overwhelming me, so it was a bit easier to understand where Kam and Lin were coming from.

There are secondary characters who I believe carry over from other books in this series, but they do nothing to dilute Kam and Lin’s story. They are a great addition to it instead. I have not read the other books in this series and did not feel at all confused at any time in Since I Saw You, so I believe it can be enjoyed very much as a stand alone.

The title says it all, Kam and Lin were enchanted with each other from the start…where they go from there is a journey you will really enjoy if you like erotic romance that gets hotter with each page!

In the “exceptionally hot” (USA Today) Because You Are Mine, Beth Kery redefined what’s possible, what’s desirable, and what’s forbidden between a man and a woman. It’s time to go further…

When enigmatic billionaire Ian Noble sets Lin the task of “taming” his brilliant yet half-savage brother Kam Reardon, she eagerly accepts. She’s more than curious about the solitary genius and everything she’s heard about him. During their electric first meeting, her fascination increases a hundredfold. Kam practically oozes raw sex appeal. Lin is interested…very interested. But does her intense attraction and willingness to go places with him she’s never gone before in the bedroom really have to do with Kam? Or is her carefully hidden desire to blame for wanting a man she knows she can never have?

An elusive outsider, Kam avoids intimacy, yet never shies away from satisfying his erotic appetites. But there’s something different about Lin—a reserve he’s anxious to break. She’s a woman he’s eager to take his time with…and possess completely. A sophisticated beauty like her would never want him anywhere but in bed, but he finds himself unable to resist her.

Immediately Lin’s smooth facade is undone by Kam’s overwhelming masculinity and by his irresistible erotic demands—a lesson in subjugation that leaves Lin confused, reeling, and open to things she never thought possible. Now, as the unpredictable nights between them grow darker, Lin and Kam are certain of only one thing: they’re made for each other.
