In Sheikh’s Scandal (The Chatsfield #1) by Lucy Monroe, Liyah Amari is determined to find the truth about her birth father and that’s the only reason she took the position of a chambermaid at the exclusive, opulent Chatsfield Hotel, London. But her search ends in heartache, leaving Liyah vulnerable to a powerful sheikh’s desires. Now their one night of passion could result in a scandalous consequence for the proud Sheikh!

19819007Sheikh Sayed of Zeena Sarha and his entourage are staying in the opulent Chatsfield Hotel, London, for the last stop on his worldwide tour before his wedding. But when his engagement is unceremoniously broken, Sayed sets his sights on his sexy chambermaid!

Sheikh’s Scandal by Lucy Monroe kicks off The Chatsfield series. This is a eight part series and is set in various Chatsfield hotels around the world. This book was set in Chatsfield London.

Lucy Monroe’s stories are engaging, well executed and Sheikh’s Scandal is not an exception. The story is set in both London and the fictional town of Zeena Sahra, which happens to be Sayed’s kingdom.

Contrary to the blurb and my expectations, there was no active harem involved in Sayed’s life. He had been celibate for three years since he got engaged. Sayed was a likable hero overall and behaved like a true gentleman most of the time. Liyah is a virginal heroine with a sweet and loving nature. She was also smart, self assured and strong. The characters were too perfect and personally I would have preferred if they had some flaws. There were also very few conflicts and it was an easy HEA for the characters. The romance was sweet and I loved the cute rapport which the character shared with each other. Whether it was the passionate moments or the banters, I loved everything which involved both of them.

Overall, Sheikh’s Scandal by Lucy Monroe is for everyone who wants a fairytale romance between two people who come from entirely different backgrounds and yet find a HEA together.
