The Lost Fisherman By Jewel E. Ann: It has been five years since they last saw each other and a lot has changed since then but when fate sends Reese back home to the place that broke her heart she cant help but feel a rush of emotions. The difference this time around being Reese is no long that naive little girl that is struggling to find her feet, this is the new and more worldly Reese that knows her worth and how to put herself first. But all it takes is one shared glance for all those emotions to come rushing back and to consume her completely. The question is will these two finally be able to find their way to each other or are they just destined for heartbreak?

“My heartstrings were so tangled in Fisher, I could barely breathe. Every move seemed to create a new knot. When we got too close. When we were too far apart.”

This forbidden second chance romance was just perfection, I absolutely loved the way Ann wrapped up Reese and Fisher’s story. After that cliffhanger of an ending I was eagerly awaiting the conclusion of this will they or won’t they story and gosh did that anticipation draw right out! I loved that Ann pulled a full turn with a clean slate for both characters, however their was always bubbling just below the surface adding to the current tension.

“If a fifty-micrometer sperm could join with a point-one millimeter egg and result in an entire human being , then two cruciverbalists could fall in love … twice.”

This book was well and truly all Reese, I loved the growth and development of her character. Not only has she grown as a person but she has grown to love and value herself as a woman. This majorly changed the dynamic between her and Fisher in the best way possible! I loved that they were on a more equal playing field this time round. Fisher my man where did that sexy alpha hero from book one go to? I will say that this time round Fisher had to really man up and face things head on, in a tiny way it felt that Fisher took a step back and let Reese lead much of this book.

“Everything about us felt all-consuming. We were memories in the making, ignited by a past he couldn’t remember and fueled by a desire for a future that seemed painfully just out of reach.”

This time round the steam factor was a tiny bit more tame but that did not effect the overall chemistry between Reese and Fisher. If anything at all the tamer nature of this book worked very well in making this more about developing a stronger bond and trust between both characters.

“What we have is effortless. It just … happens. What we have doesn’t care if it’s right or wrong. It doesn’t care about timing. It doesn’t care about age.”

The Lost Fisherman was a great combination of swoony goodness and serious growth that made this the perfect conclusion to this duet. I would highly recommend reading Reese and Fisher’s duet, this couple will take you on a whirlwind journey of coming of age, learning to trust and ultimately the full power of love.
