This was a well written romance set up in a privately owned remote island which has fallen on hard times.Caroline comes back to her island home after having her heart broken.The only thing she dreads is the possibility of meeting her first love,Keanu who broke her heart after he walked out from her life.Keanu is a conflicted man who had to make a difficult decision to stay away from the Lockhart family.He wants to make things right when he meets Caroline again after so many years and a bittersweet reunion soon leads to so much more.The romance starts off slow and could have been developed more.It was emotional but did not feel complete but the medical details were interesting and well integrated.Overall,an enjoyable romance that is recommended for all the author’s fans.
