In To Keep Her Baby (The Wyoming Multiples) by Melissa Senate, Ginger O’Leary is a waitress at Busty’s, an exotic dance saloon. She isn’t a dancer there, just a waitress, but she knows she needs to dress “appropriately” to get bigger tips.

One night she decides to sleep with one of the saloon’s steady customers, Alden Arlington, since he seems like a nice guy. Uh Oh! The condom breaks. Guess who is now pregnant. Telling Alden the news of his upcoming fatherhood gets ugly as threats get tossed out about Alden going for custody of the baby because “obviously” Ginger wouldn’t be a fit mother.

Oh No! Not going to happen. Ginger takes off to Wedlock Creek, WY and attempts to enroll in Miss Davenport’s School of Etiquette to better herself. During her initial interview she states to Larilla Davenport that her goal if she gets accepted is to be a good mother. Larilla Davenport is a truly caring person and offers Ginger a “scholarship” to attend her three week course. There Ginger meets James Gallagher who is Larilla’s godson. James had returned home to Wedlock Creek a number of years ago to raise his quintuplet half-siblings upon the death of his father and stepmother. He is at this time looking forward to escaping his responsibilities now that his siblings are adults. He has no intention of getting involved with pregnant Ginger. How successful will he be?

To Keep her Baby by Melissa Senate is the fourth book in the author’s Wyoming Multiples series. The overriding series arc is that couples getting married in the Wedlock Creek Chapel would be blessed “with multiples, whether through marriage, science, luck or happenstance.” The multiples in this story are James’ quintuplet half-siblings. Ginger is pregnant with just one baby.

I loved how this author developed the relationship between Ginger and James. She has them attracted to each other but the conflict in the story is that no matter how attracted James is to Ginger he doesn’t want the responsibilty of a child for about ten years or so. He did his duty and is ready to be fancy free. The resolution is heartwarming. This was a fun read with lots of special scenes. I totally enjoyed this book!

She was determined to transform herself.

But to him? She’s perfect.

After very rough-around-the-edges Ginger O’Leary learns she’s pregnant, it’s time for a whole new Ginger. Buttoned-up businessman James Gallagher’s happy to help his godmother’s new etiquette student, but after years of raising his siblings, becoming attached isn’t in the plan. Yet neither is the way his heart soars every time he and Ginger match wits. What will it take for these two opposites to realize that they’re made for each other?
