Trying to Score by Kendall Ryan: Sara is a workaholic on her way to becoming the first female partner in her law firm. While she might be open to a relationship, she doesn’t have the time for anything more than casual. Sara is smart, feisty, dedicated, and competent.

Teddy is on the top of his game as far as hockey goes and could have any woman he wants. He’s hot, charming, sexy, and takes care of his grandpa. He’s been good with hookups and making the most of the many women who want nothing more than a good time, but he actually loves relationships.

Teddy and Sara became really good friends in college, and then more for a short time, before pretty successfully transitioning back to friends. In the friends-only years, they have fought and gave each other a hard time while hiding the attraction that still simmers. Teddy is usually a happy, easy-going guy who is always fun to be around in their group of friends. But he can’t hide the stress and worry of the scandal that threatens with Sara. She is the only person he can turn to as the tape he doesn’t want to be released stars them.

“So, what now?” he asks, looking at me with expectant eyes.
“Well, first,” I smirk, “how about you let go of my hand and show me this email?”
He gives my hand a gentle squeeze before releasing it, and then lifts his mug to his lips.
Oh God…I hope we can do this.

Sara is not pleased to learn that the tape exists and someone has it. She steps in as his lawyer and then fake girlfriend as they try to prevent a scandal. Fake dating is more fun than either expected as they reconnect and are reminded of their college days. Fake dating feels like they are a couple and aren’t faking a thing. They bond over their shared interests and support each other and their careers.

“What do you mean, what?” He laughs, still sounding slightly breathless. “You know exactly what.”
I shrug. “Maybe. Or maybe I just want to hear you say it.”
Teddy cradles my face in his hands, running one thumb along my lower lip. The goose bumps are instantaneous.
“You are absolutely incredible, Sara Dawson. That’s what.”

Trying to Score is an entertaining and sexy combination of friends to lovers and fake relationship. Kendall Ryan provided humor, banter, heat, friendships, and family while still tackling a very contemporary topic. Ms. Ryan built on a fun and engaging cast of characters in this series of standalone hockey romances. Fans of Emma Hart, Piper Rayne, and Leddy Harper will enjoy Trying to Score.

Teddy King excels at many things. Playing hockey. Check. Scoring on and off the ice. Check. Being stupidly attractive … Double check.

I knew him way back when. Before he was the guy everyone wanted a piece of, he was just a rebellious college co-ed and one of my more energetic study partners.

But secrets have a way of getting out, and a steamy encounter from our college days (that we probably shouldn’t have filmed) is about to cause a major scandal. Unless we can work together to stop it.

Teddy’s no stranger to hard work … but the thing he wants most?

Is me.

Note: This high-heat standalone is chock-full of scorching banter and steamy good times. He’s a testosterone-dripping hockey player who wants a second chance. She’s a tough as nails attorney intent on making partner. Loads of hot banter. No cliffhanger. Enjoy!

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all new stand-alone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series of athlete romances is perfect for you!

(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)
