Untamed by S.C. Stephens: With a burning desire for the spotlight, Griffin will untamed-by-sc-stephensdo anything he can to convince his bandmates he deserves center stage. Five minutes is all he asks, but when they refuse to give him even that, Griffin might need to take some drastic steps.

With Anna, his lovely wife, and their baby by his side, Griffin knows he can do anything with their support. But as Griffin takes wild steps for fame, Anna may not be able to keep up.

I shrugged. They talked about a lot of shit that I didn’t pay attention to. I was usually too busy planning my moment of awesomeness. A moment that I was going to bring up today. It was time. As soon as we were all together, I was going to demand the spotlight I deserved.

Honestly, I did not get very far into this story before quitting. For one, Griffin’s married with a child, the exciting part is gone when they’re happily married for a good portion of the beginning, and continue t o be married throughout the story. Especially when the only other act of suspense is his desire for the spotlight.

Not only is his goal for fame, and just fame, boring to me, but it only adds to his lack of character in my eyes. Perhaps because I haven’t read the others in S.C. Stephens series I don’t understand the allure to Griffin, but I found him obnoxious, crude, and utterly selfish.

Anna seemed lovely, although I didn’t know her well considering Griffin only ever cared about himself and she only ever played to his whims and stoked his ego. But otherwise, she was actually caring and somewhat sympathetic, unlike Griffin.

As I said, I’ve never read S.C. Stephens, so if you’re a fan try it out, I know I would out of curiosity.

The spotlight doesn’t only shine. Sometimes it burns.

Being the bad-boy bassist for the world’s hottest band has earned Griffin Hancock some perks: a big house, a fast car, and most importantly his incredible wife, Anna. The one thing it hasn’t brought him is the spotlight. Anna tells him to be patient, that his talent will win out. But Griffin is through waiting for permission to shine.

Without warning, Griffin makes a shocking decision and takes the gamble of a lifetime. Suddenly he’s caught up in a new level of lights, cameras, and chaos. One that pushes his relationship with Anna to its limits. Anna has always found his unpredictable behavior sexy, but lately he’s seen an ache in her eyes–and it has his soul in knots. Just as the recognition Griffin seeks is finally within reach, the thing he loves most in life could be slipping through his fingers…

Ouch! Thanks for the heads-up! I probably wouldn’t like it either.

Too bad once you work through Griffin’s inner dialogue there are lot of good moments; however if you haven’t read the rest of the series this probably isn’t the best book to start with especially where Griffin is concerned. There are definitely some moments where you just want to smack him. He is a piece of work but by the end showed a lot of growth; I loved how she pieced it all together at the end.

I agree, I would probably have a better appreciation for the story had I read and enjoyed her others. I’m glad you enjoyed Untamed, and i’m definitely glad to hear about his growth.
