Wild in Captivity by Samanthe Beck: All that’s standing between Isabelle and making partner at the law firm that she has been busting her butt in for the past few years is insuring her client has a successful and smooth transfer of sale. This should be a piece of cake for high flying city girl Izzy however she never expected her trip to Captivity to start of with the plane ride from hell with the most grouchy hottie lumberjack she has ever seen! Most shocking of all being when grouchy Trace announces that they are actually a couple! Well there goes Izzy’s plans of exploring the local hot bear daddy population… after all hooking up with her client is completely off limits, right?

After the untimely death of his younger brother Trace can’t help but feel disconnected from his family business and even from the town he has grown up in, which is what prompts him wanting to sell his shares in the family air freight business. Not wanting to rock the boat in his small gossipy town Trace hopes for this entire process to fly firmly under the radar, however when the law firm sends in a posh high heel wearing model to do due diligence Trace has to think fast or face having the entire town on his back. Which is exactly how he finds himself lip-locked with the sassy Izzy. Trace just never expected to finally feel something, to bad his lawyer is determined to play things by the book.

“Alaskan Men : The odds are good, but the goods are odd. This particular example appeared completely on-brand.”

I LOVED this book big time!!! Take me to Captivity and just leave me there please! Gosh this book stole my heart and did not want to give it back! I’m a big sucker for a small town romance and all the wacky meddlesome locals and this is exactly what Captivity provided.

Both of our main characters were absolutely top notch, right from their first hilarious meeting these two had me hooked. As far as female leads go Izzy is up there with the best of them. I really loved that she was so determined and committed to getting her job done and that she never backed down. Gosh did she have me laughing with that majorly awkward suitcase incident, talk about embarrassing! But girl did you roll with the punches like a champ! I really enjoyed getting to see this city girl adjust to life in snowy Alaska, the entire snow shoe bit was both enduring and hilarious.

As for our hero Trace, oh boy did my heart just go out to this guy. There was just something about this guy that drew me in and the more we got to know him the more I found myself loving this guy. But gosh did he have some personal issues to deal with, ultimately I really enjoyed the tiny twist that involved Shay and the way he help Trace wake up. However the thing that truly melted my heart was the relationship he had with his wolf of a doggo Key! It was just adorable the way he talked with his dog! I mean any animal lover will just find their heart melting with the way Trace bonded with Key.

Now lets just take a moment to appreciate the crazy folks of Captivity, this bunch just knocked it out with their hilarious well meaning meddling! I loved getting to see the entire town band together and try to make their winter wonderland more homey for Izzy. This bunch is filled with so much promise for follow up books and I need them desperately! I especially need to get my hands on Bridget’s book, gosh there is definitely going to be some steamy drama in that one! Oh gosh can we just take a second to talk about bear daddy’s! Danny really was on to something with the whole burly lumberjack bear daddy vibe that all the men in Captivity were giving off! This entire thing was pure gold and no doubt Mad Dog and Wingnut will be bring the vibes in their books!

Wild In Captivity is an ABSOLUTE MUST read! This cute and quirky small town romance will steal your heart and have you wanting to book a one way trip to this cute little Alaskan town!

Ambitious L.A. lawyer Isabelle Marcano would rather run a mile in her Manolos than fly off to rustic Captivity, Alaska. But close the client’s sale successfully and her firm will find room on the letterhead for one more name. Still, taking a career detour to a place that doesn’t even have a Starbucks sounds like the seventh level of hell.

Then her best friend points out the town has something stronger on tap than caffeine. Testosterone. With two single men to every single woman, this assignment might just be the best thing to happen to her sex life since the invention of the waterproof Rabbit.

Until her sexy client introduces her as his fiancée to hide what she’s doing in town, and all her aspirations of hot Lumberjack Sex fly out the airplane window.

Though…fiancés do have sex, right? Those who don’t want to answer to small-town busybodies better look like they do, epically, even when the mere prospect plays havoc with her professional responsibilities. And her hormones.

Her firm’s getting antsy to finalize the merger. But the more she learns about Trace, about why he’s selling, the more conflicted she becomes about the deal. Failure to close means losing the partnership she’s always wanted, but the bigger failure might just be kissing Trace goodbye…
