All Messed Up (Windy City Kink #2) by Kelly Jamieson: Mallory Hurst has worked her way up the corporate ladder through determination and hard-work. At the age of 31, she is the senior marketing director for a pharmaceutical company. Mallory loves her job and believes wholeheartedly in the success of the medicines her company develops and manufactures. Most recently her job has windy-citybecome an unethical quagmire, because she is being told to promote a FDA approved depression medication for other ailments. Mallory is extremely uncomfortable with this direction, since using this medication for anything other than what it is approved for may result in serious injury or even death. So Mallory decides to take a week off to visit her parents in Anaheim, in order to get some sound advice, clear her head and figure out how to blow the whistle without losing her job and being blackballed by corporate America. However, she has to tread very carefully, because she does not want to cause her parents any grief or worry about her future, since her teen years put them through the ringer.

Chicago SWAT lieutenant Joe Mason is on his way to to Long Beach to meet his newly discovered biological father. Growing up, he always wondered why his father would treat him differently than his two older brothers, and now he knows why. Joe spent his entire childhood seeking approval and inclusion from his father, but to no avail. He finally gave up and overtime, he erected an emotional barrier to prevent himself from caring.

Mallory and Joe are on the same flight to LAX. They flirt a little, share some nachos and have a few drinks, as they get to know each other while their plane is delayed due to snowy weather. Their attraction is so strong, they deeply make-out under a blanket near their gate. When their flight finally gets cancelled, they spend the night together having slightly kinky, mind-blowing sex. Their one night together evolves into much more and shortly thereafter they fall in love.

I liked this book, especially the beginning because it reminded me of a romantic movie from the golden age. Two total strangers that meet in an airport and end up finding their forever is kismet. There is a lot of explosive heat in this book, and as always, Ms. Jamieson does a tantalizing job of creating sexual tension, desire and love. The characters are well-described, interesting and compelling. Mallory and Joe are a unique couple and I really liked getting to know their histories, regrets and thirst for a little exhibitionism. I connected with them instantly as individuals and as a couple. I am a huge fan of Ms. Jamieson and truly look forward to her next book in this series. If you enjoy a solid erotic romance, check this book out.

If he’s a mistake, she’s ready to make him her favorite mistake.

Mallory Hurst has tried to live a life that makes up for past mistakes. But now she faces a huge ethical dilemma. Her pharmaceutical company’s unapproved, off-label use of a medication puts lives at risk, and her protests have fallen on deaf ears.

Hoping a trip home will clear her head, she boards a plane for California. And strikes up a conversation with a handsome stranger.

Joe Mason recently learned that the man he’s called father all his life… isn’t. At least that explains why he never measured up to his older brothers. Flying to meet his biological father for the first time, he meets a sleek, sexy woman who makes him want to mess up her perfect hair.

Shared conversation leads to a shared drink between flights, then when their flight is canceled, a shared bed overnight—where their rush of attraction explodes into a night of much-needed kinky fun.

Yet a night of hot, messy sex won’t fix anything—in fact, blowing off steam could have blown their lives all to hell…

Guess what…your synopsis of this book has given away the entire story IMO! Nothing left to the imagination. Sorry Ms. Jamieson I will not be reading this one.
