REVIEW: Finding Alexei by Kendall Ryan

Finding Alexei by Kendall Ryan: Alexei is sexy, charming, and doesn’t need any distractions. As a pro football player, he’s devoted to his team and the game and there are always people looking to take advantage of his generous nature. He’s close to his family and he’s definitely overprotective when it comes to his sisters. Alexei isn’t looking for a relationship.

Ryleigh is fiercely independent and just trying to keep her head above water. She’s put her dreams and aspirations on hold, especially now that she’s unexpectedly caring for her former roommates baby. Ryleigh is smart, sassy, and determined.

Alexei was raised to be a gentleman and help others, so he easily and without thought steps up when he sees a woman in need. Alexei is immediately drawn to Ryleigh and loves that she doesn’t know who he is. Ryleigh doesn’t exactly fall at his feet and she’s different from the women he usually finds.

She grins again. “Are you done being bossy?”
“Not even a little.”

Ryleigh knows she’s in over her head when it comes to taking care of Ella and she’s surprised by how smoothly Alexei steps in. She doesn’t expect Alexei to take such an interest in them and he’s surprised that he can’t just walk away. Taking care of Ella together means spending a lot of time together and their relationship develops quickly. The chemistry is apparent from the beginning and it feels like more than a fling.

“Is it crazy if I say that I missed you?” I murmur, my mouth just inches from hers.
Her eyes are so blue, so wide and clear. They’re mesmerizing.
She wets her lips with the tip of her tongue. “I…I missed you too. I mean, mostly I just missed having backup with the baby, if I’m being completely honest, but the other part of me missed you.”

Finding Alexei is sweet, sexy, and entertaining. Kendall Ryan created complementary characters with interesting backstories and provided heat, humor, and heart. Ms. Ryan developed a great cast of characters in Alexei’s family and teammates, including familiar faces from Love Machine, Flirting with Forever, and Dear Jane. Fans of Emma Hart and Meghan Quinn will enjoy Finding Alexei.
