In Going Gone (Forces of Nature #3) by Sharon Sala, Laura, a Red Cross employee, survives a harrowing plane crash and it’s aftermath. Her boyfriend, FBI agent Cameron is one of the rescuers to find her, and he reassures her and promises that he will always find her. As Laura is bravely moving on with life, Cameron and Laura’s relationship deepens, and they know they want to spend forever Ggonetogether. What they didn’t anticipate was that their engagement announcement would draw out a psychopathic killer with a twisted need for revenge. This time he decides his revenge will be taking away what Cameron loves – Laura. He has to set the groundwork first though.

As the Stormchaser team reactivates to catch a killer, they know who it is, but they can’t find him or a connection to the people he’s killing. Time is running out, can they find him before he takes his final prize?

Going Gone is a fast paced thriller with strong characters. I really liked that Laura and Cameron’s relationship was well established. Their love, maturity, and respect for each other was obvious through out Going Gone. There is no angst or relationship issues. Instead we saw an already great relationship get even stronger as Laura recovered from the plane crash, then they faced even more danger together. There is romance and heart felt emotions, and this enhances the plot very well.

The suspenseful plot line really intrigued me and kept me glued to the pages of Going Gone. It is no secret who the killer is, and I liked how Sharon managed to do this, keep the suspense, and make things even more compelling as she reveals his story. I liked how Sharon wrote from numerous POV’s, including the killers. It was very interesting to be witness to what was going on in his mind, and it made him even crazier and more frightening.

There are great secondary characters in Going Gone. I loved Lucy! She plays a small but important role in Going Gone. I liked the relationships that Laura and Cameron had with other people, their interactions and the way they all supported each other.

With great flow, Sharon Sala captivated me from the first page with Going Gone and I finished it quickly (could not put it down!). Although it is part of a series Going Gone can be read as a stand alone easily (as I did). With attention to detail, and a variety of emotions Going Gone is a romantic suspense I’d recommend to all romantic suspense readers!
