REVIEW: Hardwired by Meredith Wild

Hardwired by Meredith Wild: Erica is a brand new college graduate and looking for investors so she can run her business full-time. She has no back-up plan, so she needs to get funding. She’s prepared, until Blake walks in and seems determined for her to fail. Blake is a sexy distraction she can’t afford even if he makes her feel in a way she never has before.

“Can I take you to breakfast?” His eyes softened, as if we hadn’t spent the last twenty minutes at odds with one another.
Confused, I stuffed my notes back into my bag. Blake was beautiful, but he grossly overestimated his assets if he thought I was going to let him pick me up after that show.

Erica has the opportunity to network at an event, but she doesn’t expect that none other than Blake himself to also be in attendance. Once they are together, Blake pushes for Erica to give more of herself and be more vulnerable.

“What’s the plan?” he asked.
He sized me up with a wolfish grin that looked anything but innocent.
“I’m not your private chef. You realize that, right?”
“Perhaps we could negotiate.” He rose and leaned against the desk in front of me. “What could I do for you?”

Hardwired is sexy, thrilling, and angsty with some elements of suspense. Meredith Wild created a world of possibilities that keeps you invested as Blake and Erica’s individual pasts are impacting their present and future. Ms. Wild created two intelligent and driven characters in Blake and Erica, who make for a hot pairing. Fans of The Stark Trilogy by J. Kenner would love Hardwired!
