Rules of Their Royal Wedding Night by Michelle Smart is the final instalment of the Scandalous Royal Weddings trilogy and I LOVED it!

Throw every book award at the author!

Let me count the ways of how much I adored this story. The resilience of Elsbeth is admirable. The future Queen in a foreign country, foreign language, brand new customs, and marrying a stranger who she is sure hates her by association. The growth of Elsbeth is remarkable as she finds her way in such a foreign environment; fighting all her natural instincts on how to behave; relying on her mothers advice that continuously echoes in her mind; heavily influenced by the 24 years of surviving in a hostile family environment. Elsbeth’s journey of self discovery; shedding her facade and falling in love with her husband.

Amadeo jumps into his marriage of convenience – designed to unite two kingdoms – with a stiff upper lip. If you’ve read the first two books you’ll know he’s absolutely NOT looking forward to this marriage but the future king knows his duty and it’s time for him to walk the walk and step up. The pre-negotiated terms of the marriage are in place and performing his weekly duty doesn’t seem too much of a hardship, except Elsbeth confuses him, challenges him, interests him, amuses him and inspires him. Amadeo is not used to this rainbow of feelings when dealing with a woman, let alone a wife and he’s terrified he’s seeing behaviours in himself that mirror his loved up siblings.

Soft, sensitive, quiet and lonely Elsbeth slowly blooms as Amadeo’s wife. she becomes accustomed to his attention and grows bolder during their royal outings and their alone time but a girl can only take so much when it comes to dealing with an emotional brick wall. Tall, dark, handsome and powerful Amadeo quietly enjoys Elsbeth come out of her reserved shell but is not at all ready to navigate his feelings. In fact the more he feels; the higher his walls become.

Some fantastic drama. I adored the journey of Elsbeth and i thought how she was presented to me, the reader, was unique and very enjoyable. I loved Amadeo despite wanting to shake him hard. I loved the way the story flowed and i loved the way the characters from the previous two books shined through. I loved the pace and the beautiful, descriptive writing, the humour, the unique way the author presented the story and holey moley give a star just for the cover!

Absolutely loved and adored Rules of Their Wedding Night by Michelle Smart.
