Saving the Single Dad by Cheryl Harper really touched a chord deep inside me. I believe because of its theme of “second chances”, and because throughout the story, there was such an emphasis on forgiveness, on really learning who people are beneath the surface- and not judging people by their pasts.
Bachelor Remedy by Carol Ross was an enjoyable and extremely touching and intriguing story. It drew me in first because of the Alaska setting- its’ such a magnificent state. And secondly, because of the medical aspect- I always enjoy stories having to do with medicine and healthcare. Tag and Ally […]
Bad Boy Rancher by Karen Rock is set in one of my favorite states, Colorado. It’s always a joy to read a story that takes place in a locale a reader is familiar with. Unfortunately, this is the third in a series, and it did not feel like it was […]
Back to the Lake Breeze Hotel by Amie Denman: I loved “returning” to Starlight Point in this newest novel in the Starlight Point series. What a treat to read more about the Hamilton family and their adventures in running this special theme park. Amie Denman is such a gifted story […]
Marrying the Wedding Crasher by Melinda Curtis: I enjoyed the opportunity to “return” to the quirky town of Harmony Valley, with its’ many interesting yet loving characters! Reading gives readers the chance to “travel” to so many places!
Something to Treasure by Virginia McCullough: Having first read about Dawn and her son Gordon in an earlier title set in Two Moon Bay, I thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to read Dawn’s story in Something to Treasure I also enjoyed getting “reacquainted” with Lark and Mile’s characters as they interacted […]
Bringing Rosie Home by Loree Lough: As stated in the blurb above, it is every parents’ worst nightmare to have a child abducted. This is something I do not wish on any parent.
His Baby Dilemma by Catherine Lanigan was not an easy book to “get into”, I must confess- simply because it is number nine in a series, of which I had not read any of the others. However, the author is a talented writer, and I wanted to give this book a […]
A Boy’s Christmas Wish by Patricia Johns is a truly touching and appropriate pre holiday read, with its’ themes of forgiveness and fresh starts, and the things we do for our family out of love. Beth returns to her west Canadian hometown on the verge of delivering her child, and […]
Support Your Local Sheriff by Melinda Curtis: The subject and the plot outline of this story should make for a good read. However, this is one of the rare times when I just could not get in to this story no matter how many efforts I made.
